Hi Everyone I am new to the forum, I live in hertfordshire and at present make wedding cakes for family and friends and love making cupcakes. I am hoping to venture out and start baking for paying clients. I am on facebook and twitter if you would like to see a few of my designs.:smile:

So you're from England? Be sure and tell all of us on the forum what you think about the UK cupcake scene (I've posted a few articles on the whole cupcake explosion in the UK that I've found around the web, also the whole "cupcake vs. fairy cake " thing). I'm a bit of an Anglophile myself, and I'm disappointed that "fairy cakes" are considered disappointing vis-a-vis "American style" "cupcakes". When I was growing up and read or heard about "fairy cakes" from re-runs of old British TV shows, I was led to believe they were something special...to a little kid, something called a "fairy cake" sounds pretty exciting! My family and I visited England last February and we all want to go back!
