I just googled cupcake forum and was so thrilled to find a forum just for cupcakes. I've been baking and designing cupcakes for a few years and love finding new ideas. Can't wait to read through the posts and get some great ideas for my next party.

Welcome partycupcake! Looking forward to seeing your cupcake designs; are you baking for family or professionally (or both)? :)

Mine used to be good old chocolate when I was a kid, and the only cupcakes I had access to were homemade or mass-produced and packaged (I liked the Hostess kind, but liked the lemon ones better than the chocolate ones) but now I'm discovering the joys of expensive cupcake-bakery cupcakes with all sorts of exotic ingredients 9some of which O have reviewed on this board).

I just bake for friends and family. I would love to have a cupcake shop someday.

My favorite cupcake is still anything with chocolate :) I love red velvet and I made some chocolate smores cupcakes recently that were amazing.

I'll eat 'em, but only occasionally, sparingly, and at the behest of a friend so as not to hurt their feelings. I don't get why it's so popular here in the Northeast all of a sudden when I think Red Velvet Cake is a "Southern" food that has no business being north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
