Hi My name is Monique and i am a cupcake lover. haha i feel like i'm in cupcake annonymous. But anyways. still trying to learn how to post and look through existing threads. I love baking cupcakes! I have some problems though...My cupcakes often come out a lil dry, i want more moisture. and a tad bit more flavor. I've tried many recipies from online and i haven't found one that makes me say...aaaaHA this one is it!! I am looking forward to learning lots about cupcakes. I am really a newbie. But I see lots of profile pictures of cupcakes and they look amazing. Mine don't look anything like that :( lol But practice, practice, practice i guess :)

Hope you find a solution to your cupcake problem here. It could be you're "overbaking" them: having them in the oven for a reletively long period of time at a too-low oven temp. I had this problem when my 1950s gas stove developed leaky valves...the oven wouldn't heat up as hot as it should have, and I'd have to keep things in for much longer than the recipe baking times in order to get them "done". Also, one side of the oven heated up more intensely than the other, so I would have to turn things midway through.
Check your oven temp (and perhaps have the gas man have a look around) and see if this may be affecting your baking.
