Share your cupcake & icing-combinations ^^

I've so far made:

Vanilla cupcake with cheesecream-frosting (The cheese-cream made the experiece of the vanilla cupcake total)
Chocolate-cupcake with vanilla-buttercream-frosting (The vanilla complimented the chocolate very nicely)

And some combinations I'm courious whether would work or not:

- Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla-buttercream-frosting (I guess it'll work, but never tried)
- Chocolate cupcakes with cheese-cream-frosting (I don't know how chocolate and cheese would work)
- Vanilla cupcake with chocolate-buttercream-frosting
- Chocolate cupcake with chocolate-buttercream-frosting

And so on, I guess.. I love making cupcakes and I'm glad I finally found a forum that shares my love for these little packs of love :wink:

mmm...those sound great! Here's are some of my favorite:

Chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting

Carrot cupcake with cinnamon marshmallow buttercream

chocolate cupcake with candy cake buttercream

lemon cupcake with coconut buttercream

red velvet cupcke with cream cheese frosting

Vanilla cupcake with strawberry swirl cream cheese frosting

Those are my top favorite ones that I make! Now I'm hungry.....

They all sound scrummy!
My current favourites are:
Chocolate with a raspberry swirl cream cheese frosting :tongue2:
Banana cake with a toffee centre and a toffee swirl cream cheese frosting
Lemon cake with a lemon zest cream cheese frosting
Orange and poppy seed with an orange zest cream cheese frosting
Green tea cake with a ginger buttercream frosting

I'm still trying out new combos and fortunately I have some willing tasters at home!!

Though the idea of a tea-cake bothers me :tongue2:

My talent is very limited for now as you see, but I'm searching for recipes on cupcakes on a daily basis & constantly looking to improve my skills so that the cupcakes get even more spongy (I don't know what to tell it.. Airy?), and I seriously hope that someday I'll be as good as you guys at baking :smile:

Lemon cupcakes with raspberry filling are amazing!
Kids favorite: classic vanilla with swiss vanilla buttercream
Banana cupcakes filled with vanilla custard then topped with whipped cream
Chocolate with vanilla buttercream filling dipped in chocolate ganache
Pastachio cupcakes simply sprinkled with powdered sugar
As mentioned chocolate with peanut butter is popular
And my favorite is spice cupcake with cream cheese icing
