Hey everyone!

I've found this forum and it seems to be the right place to ask the fallowing question:

How do I make my topping made of butter, sugar and custard in a different color?

I make them in the original style with the custard made of vanillie.

I hope you can help me out with this one!

Also my cupcakes are always in a point and not flat. They are well-done but not flat. How come?

I use gel coloring for all my icings and fillings
I sugest if you buy wiltons gel coloring to use it little by little until you acheive your desired color, because the colors can be very strong
As for your cupcakes being pointy, try using an ice cream scoop to fill your paper linners
Fill cups about 3/4 or 1/2 full
Also try preheating your oven a few degrees above the required for your recipe then lowering it to the temperature the recipe calls for when you are ready to put the cupcakes in
