Hello folks

Im looking for some top tips on the best way to make a chocolate shell for giant cupcake and trying to avoid the shell cracking etc?

anyone got the best tips?

I have a tin cupcake (large) that i melt chocolate into and layer the chocolate bit by bit it takes a while i put in the freezer to hurry up and re do a few times, touch wood it hasnt cracked yet lol

ive painted the inside of the silicone mould with layers of choc then froze it and carefully pealed back the mould to create a case for the cake

Oh ive tried this umpteen times, and i just cant do it lol ...
Have melted and frooze, have peeled and cried ... now i just cover the edging with either chocolate fingers (white and brown, or plain white/plain brown etc) or coconut, cover sides with jam, and roll over cocnut, it gives a lovely effect.
Will have another go at a chocolate case one day ... just not yet, its too close lol :smile:
